The Jotto Desk 3-Piece Articulated Swing Arm provides the critical link between the vertical tube & rod and the desktop. The swing arm motion allows the desktop to be positioned on the driver's or passenger's side, or centered in front of the dash. The ratchet handles provide a quick, tool-less way to tighten the swing arm's position and will keep your electronic device from moving while the vehicle is in motion.
The 3-piece swing arm is an upgrade to the standard 2-piece swing arm 425-1188 that comes on most Jotto Desk mounts. Having the additional arm component allows for a longer out-stretched desktop (20"), useful in vehicles that are extra wide-bodied, or for using the laptop mount from the rear seat, or while standing outside of the vehicle.
